On Thursday 9th January 2020, Class 3 took a trip to Looe as an introduction to their rivers and coasts topic. We travelled by train along the river, spotting birds and other wildlife as we went.
Our workshop at the Heritage Centre in Looe taught us all about fishing and the harbour. We also did a team building exercise where we had to construct a bridge.
The sun finally came out and we spent time on the beach creating sand sculptures, playing football and collecting micro-plastics and other rubbish.
Many thanks to Rebecca from GWR for the free trip and Rachel at the Centre for a brilliant morning.
