Junior Lifeskills at Bodmin Fire Station

On 16 October 2019, years 5 and 6 visited Bodmin Community Fire Station for the 'Junior Lifeskills Cornwall' event.  This event allowed pupils to engage with and learn a variety of life skills that will help them develop key competencies.  Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service and GWR organised the afternoon, and invited a number of different agencies along to raise awareness of safety issues across many walks of life.   The children spent a short time with each of the agencies; these included:

  • Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service
  • RNLI
  • GWR
  • Western Power Networks
  • Civil Enforcement
  • Tri-Services
  • Cornwall Council Trading Standards (age restricted products)
  • The Dogs Trust
