Class 3 General Information
Hello! Welcome to Class 3’s information page.
The members of staff in our classroom are:
(Teacher Monday – Thursday)
Mrs Liddicott (TA)
Mrs Breeze (HLTA)
TA (Monday -Thursday)
We are a mixed class of year 4, 5 and 6 children. Because of the mixed ages in our class, we are lucky enough to have use of the library, where some children will go to learn separately – perhaps where they need to learn something specific to their year group, for example.
Being the oldest in the school, our class have responsibilities and jobs that we can choose to be involved in, such as:
- helping the younger children at lunchtime
- helping members of staff with assembly
- collecting house points
- shed monitors, as well as many other jobs.
In our class, we have different reward systems to motivate us in our learning and with our behaviour. We have Praise Points, which we can collect for good work or areas of learning where we have put in lots of effort. These accumulate and we can then receive rewards.
Our teacher loves to read and encourages us to do the same. If we can show that we have read 5 times in a week (even if it is just a few pages a day!), we get moved up a ladder. At the end of the term, if we have done this every week, we get to enjoy a fun afternoon!
Across our school, we also try to earn house points. The winning team is invited to a party.
As we are nearing the end of our time at primary school, we have lots to learn. You can find links to our projects here. Within the Class 3 section of the website, you will find links to ‘help with reading’, spelling lists and about the maths website we have access to. Some of the year 6s sometimes receive a little more support as they head towards their SATs (statutory assessments) in May.
During the school year, year 5 go on a trip to France and year 6 visit London. We meet children from our federation school, Stoke Climsland, who we might end up going to secondary school with after finishing primary school.
We hope you find everything you need to know about our class on these pages. If you wish to know more, please arrange to meet Mrs Kilpin through Mrs Hardy in the office.
Hope to see you soon!
