Calstock & Stoke Climsland Year 6 London Trip 2018
On Monday 26th March, Year 6 children from both schools headed off to London for an action packed four days.
A huge thank you to all the staff who accompanied the children and to all those who helped organise this years trip.
A fantastic time was had by all.
Today we visited KidZania, which is an indoor city run by kids! KidZania allows children to independently choose from a selection of real-life activities and test their skills in different professions.
In the morning we visited the Natural History Museum and took part in a Dino Scene Investigation workshop.
We had lunch at the Princess of Wales Memorial Playground in Kensington Gardens.
Afterwards, we caught the Thames Clipper from Westminster Pier to North Greenwich. We then travelled on the Emirates Air Line Cable Car over the Thames to the Royal Docks.
In the morning, we visited the Houses of Parliament and had a guided tour. Later we met our local MP Mr Scott Mann.
After lunch, we walked to Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, here we had a tour of the building and took part in a workshop.
Next, we enjoyed the 4D experience before catching the London Eye. The views were amasing.
After a lively dinner in Bella Italia, Leicester Square, we headed for the theatre.
At the New London Theatre we watched School of Rock. The performance was fantastic and enjoyed by all.
Our last day :(
Today we travelled to the Warner Bros. Studio to see The Making of Harry Potter.
As you can imagine, we were all very excitied about this visit and we weren't disappointed.
We then made the long journey home to Cornwall to be met by our families and home for a well earned rest.
